We do not operate an open submissions policy for the ARTfutures show. The show is selected with a team of Contemporary Art Society curators who trawl exhibitions, degree shows and open studio shows around the country on a year-round basis. |
||||||||||||||||
Recommendations are sometimes received and occasionally we target specific areas of the country and invite curators to nominate artists from their region. This research generates a long list of artists who are invited to submit images. The images are then considered by the selection team and studio visits are arranged for shortlisted artists. Each year the selection draws on fresh material, generating a show that reflects the wide range of contemporary practice from recent graduates to well established artists. |
